Electronic Handling Ltd Delivers the UK’s First Lupin Dental Robot

Electronic HandlingLtd Delivers the UK’s First Lupin Dental Robot

Location: London, UK

Service: Specialist equipment handling and delivery

The challenge: Delivering advanced dental robotic equipment down asteep staircase into a basement treatment room.

A First-of-Its-KindDelivery

Electronic HandlingLtd was entrusted with delivering the first Lupin Dental robotic system toarrive in the UK. This landmark delivery brought together specialist equipmenthandling, forward planning and practical problem-solving to overcome achallenging installation environment.

The destination was abasement treatment room in London, where restricted access presented asignificant obstacle. With a steep staircase leading down to the treatmentarea, conventional handling methods were not suitable for moving the equipmentsafely to its final destination.

The Challenge: ASteep Staircase to Navigate

The staircase leadingto the basement was too steep to carry the equipment down using conventionalmethods. A bespoke approach was needed to negotiate the descent whilemaintaining control of the equipment throughout the move.

Electronic HandlingLtd had developed a plan before arriving on site, identifying the need for aramp-based solution. However, the ramps themselves would need to be constructedon site to suit the access conditions.

The Solution: ThreeRamps Built on Site

Drawing on ourexperience in specialist equipment handling, we adapted the plan to theconditions at the London site.

Our team constructedthree ramps on site, creating a route that enabled the equipment to be wheeleddown the steep staircase in a controlled manner.

This combination ofadvance planning and practical on-site construction allowed us to overcome theaccess restrictions and manage the move methodically, with the specificrequirements of the equipment and location in mind.

The Result:Successfully Delivered to the Point of Use

The operation wascompleted successfully, with the Lupin Dental robotic system delivered into thebasement treatment room at its intended point of use.

The projectdemonstrated how careful preparation, practical engineering and the ability toadapt on site can overcome challenging access conditions, even when aconventional delivery approach is not viable.

For ElectronicHandling Ltd, this was an opportunity to support the arrival of pioneeringdental technology in the UK while demonstrating our capability to deliverspecialist equipment into difficult-to-access environments.

Specialist HandlingBeyond the Ordinary

At Electronic HandlingLtd, we understand that some deliveries require much more than gettingequipment from A to B. Restricted access, steep staircases and basementinstallations can demand bespoke solutions, detailed planning and hands-onexpertise.

This project reflectsour approach: understand the challenge, develop a practical plan and see thedelivery through to its final point of use.
